[ukvac] Tech re: Capacitors
Hi all

I wonder if you could help me i am trying to find a 150 microfarrad
100v electroliotic radial capacitor. I am drawing a blank at Farnell
and RS.

It is to be used within a power supply, not sure if its for smoothing
i dont have the schematics with me at the mo.

If i cant locate one could i parralel one 100mf and one 47mf to get a
combined cap of 147mf (nearley 150mf)? What would be the
rammifications of doing this?

Many thanks

Biff

150uF is quite an odd value. You could always try a standard 220uF cap
as an alternative. At a wild guess I would say that it's 100v rating
makes it most likely to be a smoothing or decoupling capacitor.
