Hi Guys,
What a great podcast this was. The Track and |Field interview at the end was enthralling and the accompanying thread on here, re; the algorithms is just amazing. With the combined genii of the code breakers, combined with the dynamic digits of Mr Stoodley, I think we are well en route for a new WR, even with the tight parameters mentioned.
I also need to say thank you for the immense priviledge of being the lucky listener to pick this weeks game. It seems to have gained a mediocre following on Twitter and I must admit that blooming end screen, prior to the game looping, is an absolute pita!!! And has kinda ruined it for me, as I was getting to it every time and still couldn't complete it, got clos, but not quite. Too many unavoidable arrows to the face whilst jumping for the rope.
But if I may just place a little substance behind this choice. It was away back in the mid 80's, when I found my first computer lurking under the Christmas tree, a Commodore 16, which came with a few games in the box, one of these was Punchy - a Hunchback clone. I was smitten and remain so. It's surprising how vivid these memories remain today.
I also remember a Hunchback cab in my local café.
Then on my last trip to Arcade Club, there it was, then again at Nerg 16, calling out to me. And so I chose it here, hoping that someone, if not I, would beat the bell screen and succeed, willed on by some friendly banter and rivalry - and it did, although it wasn't me.
Until next time. Keep jumping and avoiding arrows to the face !!
