I either write a whole essay or nothing at all
The podcast is still just as charming and interesting as usual.

I first heard of flicky from one of the computer mags in the 80's. It was used as a surprise game in a tournament they held. I always thought it sounded cool but never even saw a picture of it until I tried it out in mame many years later.

Strangely my partner's daughter some years ago mentioned a game about a bird saving babies she had played on the computer... Having heard of this game I said "was it called flicky" and yep it was.
How she managed to play this game I'll never know but I don't know of any other versions of it.
Maybe I'll discover more after listening to the podcast.
Great game though!

Another great podcast, loving the paperboy music inbetween segments. A fine choice indeed. Yes it was me that gave you those Turpin cocktail cards, thought you might like them as mention your love for the game a fair bit in the podcasts....was also hoping it might be a nice ice breaker to introduce myself for a chat, I think you were making a tea at the time so a bit pre-occupied.

Been loving all the recent podcasts and the recent USA special, always very enjoyable and help my train journey pain.

@Tronads - Yeah, I've never managed to shoot all the carrots; not even sure it's possible. It's better just to dodge and get your laser temp down for the following waves.

Thanks for the continuing support on my Galaxian quest. It really does make a massive difference knowing I've got the backing of others. If all goes to plan, I'm collecting my Galaxian PCB from Arcade Club tonight from a fellow UKVaccer, so the game is definitely on.
