The Whitley Bay Film Festival is Bringing Pinball Back To The British Seaside
Roger Daltrey will be in attendance on August 1st for a 40th anniversary screening of Tommy. He will participate in a question and answer session after the film. The event has already had tremendous interest both from the public and media.
During July we plan to launch a region wide pinball tournament with the winner being crowned on the night of the movie screening.
Does this sound interesting? Might it be something you might like to get involved in or support in some way?
We're particularly looking for help in the following areas
• Networking: We're looking to hook up with pinball players from around the north of England and we intend to get as many pinball fans playing tables across the region. We'd also love to hear from any collectors who might be prepared to exhibit tables at our events.
• Sponsorship: We seek sponsors for our film screenings and for the pinball tournament. Our sponsorship document available on request.
• Promotion/Marketing: We would welcome any opportunity for you to help us spread the word about the screening and pinball tournament.
The Whitley Bay Film Festival is a community led event which has grown from very humble origins into an award wining and highly popular institution in the North East's cultural calendar. Whitley Bay as a seaside holiday destination was once synonymous with the sound of pinball machines. We're proud and delighted to bring them back to our town
We'd be very interested in discussing anything mentioned here further.
