Just wondering what games would come under this genre from the classic era up to say, '88.

On my list so far I have....

Track & Field (Konami)
Hypersports (Konami)
Field Day (Taito)
Strength & Skill (Sun/Kitco)

Any others that I need to be aware of that qualify for the 'multiple events' and 'button mashing ' category?

Konami 88 also known as 88 games or hyper sports special.

I always thought that the graphics in this one looked a little too ragdoll (gangly). I was going to add it myself lol. There is something magical about the aforementioned titles in my opening post that I can't quite put a finger on.

Taito go for fhe gold. Been looking for that pcb for about 10 years. Also known as recordbreaker. Never seen a strength and skill either which id like, although thats a joystick game and not a masher.

Strength And Skill - It has a joystick for the action for the speed events etc. Left-Right. It also uses the four way for some of the others. True buttons masher..... Jury is out. I have one that I has a dig around when I have time.
