Bit of an experiment, but I thought I would set up a trade tombola.

OK - so what is a trade tombola?
Basically it is the same as the prize draw with 2 small differences. These are:
1) To be in the draw you must donate a prize
2) As everyone has donated a prize, everyone wins!

So What I can donate to the draw?
Yet to be decided, so input appreciated. There has already been some discussion on JAMMA+ on this. Sowould like your input on here as well. Please don't re-input comments here if you have already said on JAMMA+ keep your cmments on 1 forum only please.

Looking at Fully working PCBs (JAMMA or non-JAMMA, boots), MVS motherboards and/or carts, CPS2 motherboards, STV motherboards, fully working COMPLETE Consoles (no base units only), Bundles of console games (not 1 or 2 games and no 'backup' games), etc.

Console games have been crossed out for now, but may be put back in at a later date. there are a few people that have also sold 'JAMMA only' but i think this restricts too much. What do you think?

How do I know that the PCB/prize is working?
Obviously there is no way of monitoring this, but we ask all entrants only to provide FULLY WORKING prizes. Remember that your reputation is on the line, same as in the marketplace section.

If I donate a fully working Bubble Bobble, can I end up with a Euroleague/WC90 boot?
yes, the idea being that you donate something that you no longer want in exchange for a surprise win from the tombola.

So won't everyone just donate Euroleague/WC90 boots?
No - There will only be one of each prize accepted. All entrants need to PM me with the prize that they wish to donate.

So what about consoles/games?
To Be Decided. Fully working complete consoles may be accepted. Same rules apply that only one type of console (i.e. SNES) can be in each draw, so also need to be vetted by PMing me. Console Games bundles are currently ruled out but might be put back in in the future,

What if I am declined as someone else has already entered the same PCB/Console?
You can either choose to enter a different prize or wait until the next draw (or both).

What happens if I get a prize I can't use/don't want such as an MVS/CPS2 game but I don't have a motherboard or a non-JAMMA PCB with no adaptor?
Buy a motherboard, make an adaptor, trade it via the foruns, sell the item or donate it as a prize in the next draw.

If I am drawn first, do I get to pick the prize?
No, if you are drawn first, you get the first prize in the list. This way, the last person drawn can still end up with the best prize.

What about postage?
The sender is expected to pay the postage. Some people will want to keep addresses secret and others won't want to wait in for couriers to pickup, so you MUST be prepared to send/receive via UPS shop to shop. This also allows for tracking and insurance. The sender and prize winner can agree different postage methods as long as BOTH parties agree to it.

I am not in the UK, can I participate?
This is a difficult one as we have many friends that are not in the UK, however we cannot ask people to pay the extra cost associated with sending items abroad. Therefore if you are not in the UK and wish to participate then you will be required to pay the cost of sending your prize to the UK and the cost in excess of £5 of sending your winning item to you.

Is this just on UKVAC?
No, the moderators of both UKVAC and JAMMA+ have confirmed that they are happy for this to be run across both forums.

C.an I enter more than once?
No, only 1 entry per draw

If you are running it, can you enter?
Absolutely, I am not missing out on the fun! I will find some way of doing the draw, either video the other half doing it or ask someone who hasn't participated to do it.

When will the first draw be?
TBA - but at least approx 10 people need to enter to ensure that it is not just a straight swap!

So what do I need to do?
Just PM me with the prize that you woud like to enter. Please do not post prizes in this thread. I will do that after they have been vetted.

There will probably be more questions, I will add to this post as I think of them. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me so that i can update the first post.

As always, have fun!

Good stuff Simonden!

I was going to say that I was going to chuck in a Final Fight, but then I noticed it was after 12:00.

Looking forward to taking part.
