Did you change something for the better

Where I work I used to be able to access UKVAC but they put a web filter on so that all forums and games sites were blocked. I had to remove you from my favourites.

Today I was googling an rom error in work and clicked a UKVAC link and it worked. I don't think they changed the filter as other games and forums sites are still failing.

It depends how they do the filtering. Where I work they use OpenDNS to do the filtering and it's not blocked there (yet!). But at my old company they did the filtering using a bit of hardware in their own data centre and it was blocked.

If they use OpenDNS and you have access to your TCP settings then change the DNS server and you'll bypass the filtering. But clearly I didn't say that, and be aware that it will put you in breach of your contract of employment I suspect so expect to get a bollocking if caught!
