I was just routing through a box of old manuals and paperwork when I came across a cutting page from a Dec 1981 Coin Slot trade paper in which we often sold the odd cheap arcade machines and obviously bought stuff through the same sources.

I think this was the first occasion I got a named mention on the grapevine page under the picture … imagine opening a new gaming showroom and a big open day with press coverage and the sign writer had put VIDEO GEMAS on the window in confusion of working in reverse spelling.. good giggle I knew the business guy too as I met him at the Blackpool exhibition and rang him when it appeared in coin slot again as I also knew one of its reporters and pointed out the error! He was fuming never saw it himself . Never expected coin slot to re- run the picture a second time in a month? But this is the AMUSEMENT industry after all…..and the name of his business, how embarrassing.

Picture just sideways to include date over 40 years ago … just seems last week !!!!
We do keep some odd things ??
