f there are more left over, it should be ERROR105; ERROR104 is when a different title is put in.
If the SRAM is erased in the emulator and only rfid0 is changed to the maintenance chip, the number of remaining chips will decrease only for the normal chip of rfid1.

Incidentally, when I changed the number of chips remaining in Love and Berry from 23 FF FF FF to FE EC FF EA, it worked as a normal chip with more remaining than 800.

I have wanted one of these machines for ages. I loved playing them as a kid and always wondered if I could get one running if I had one! Definitely saving this for when I eventually find one!

Does anyone know of a way to get this to work for the Love and Berry version of the RFID readers? It uses a different RFID reader than the Picochet and there's no go-between board.
Also, my RFID readers are shot so the game gets an error screen on the title, so I'm hoping this works as a replacement for them.

I use this with Love and Berry, but since this method doesn’t work with the black RFID reader, I use the white one instead.
The black model was developed in-house by SEGA to integrate with their interface board.

That's what I was afraid of. Looks like I'll have to try to find someone who still has a pair of Picochet laying around.

I have a special loveandberry-3rd-5thcollection(usa,export ver 1.002) (mda-c0042) that never expires the RF tag, also got the same for Dino King 2.5 (Operation Rescue) also patched.

Only requirement is an RF tag in the RF reader, expired one is fine - if you don't have a tag, I have some.

You also need a 256MB or larger CF card, to clone my custom image too.

On insertion it will flash the SystemSP board to whatever game you are installing (you do NOT need the security chip, or you can just leave it) - I decrypted the images, and patched the boot header already, and I fixed up the CRCs.

The CF card will be required to be installed at all times, as both DinoKing and L&B V2.0 need the CF card to hold extra data/music/FMV.

I know that patch exists, but I’ve never seen it.
I’ve been playing L&B and Dinosaur King using the method described in this thread, but I sometimes get an “RFID ERROR,” so I’m interested in that patch.

Wait, is THAT what's been causing the error 100?

I've also been running the patched version, but whenever I start it, I get an error 100. I assumed my RFID readers were broken (despite the green lights working), but does it also give you an error 100 if the RFID chip isn't inserted? Because the guy who sold me the board didn't include an expired RFID...

You should get RF ID missing error, but sounds like your mainboard needs reflashing - but without a valid RF tag for the game, expired or not it won't work - well my L&B/Dino king editions - if you have RF with valid plays left, they won't ever get decremented. Also you have to be aware that there is different Type RF tags - for different regions.
