Viewing UKVAC on mobile devices.

Is there something that can be tweaked to improve the way the site displays on a mobile device?

I find that as I click through pages, the borders reduce so that threads are displayed in a reduced area. Pics:

Homepage is OK:

Categories start reducing in size when you click on one, as the "page number" boxes don't seem to adapt:

Then individual threads get even smaller, but the reply box fills the whole page:

These screenshots are on a LG G3 Android phone using Chrome. But I get the same issue on every browser I've tried.

Images don't auto resize like on other sites also.

You running the mobile site or using the classic site on your mobile?

Also does the behaviour change when changing skins?

Running mobile version of the site as pictured above. Switching to classic mode, the site is fine (but too small to read obviously).

Different skins do exactly the same thing.

It's the same for me running on a nexus 5. Jamma plus has the same issue on the mobile site. Would be nice if it would fill the screen better! Less zooming and double tapping etc.!

What browser are you guys using?

Im using Chrome on iphone, the site works well.

I'm using chrome too. As mentioned above, the page numbers don't line up with the rest of the boxes and text, and stick out to the right. This has the effect of scaling everything else down.

Ok that is weird.

If J+ is doing it also it must be an inherent bug in the forum software code rather than any additional customization we have done.

I'll raise a ticket with them.

Yeah same thing with Jamma+ here too.

I've tried switching browsers many times - think I've tried about 5 different ones from Google Play store and it does the same thing on every one.

Nothing annoys me more than mobile sites. They we're fine 7 years ago when we had tiny little screens and no pinch to zoom but you just don't need them now. Takes less than a second to zoom in and you get all the info you need on screen, not a watered down mobile version.

The site is still unreadable in iOS. Even worse if people have posted pics in the threads (and they should) because the pics are HUGE and can't be viewed in any way..

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on mobile. Ios user here i have no problem on either but prefer classic (no offence dannyp)

The mobile version works great on iOS,
its just the pics that arent resized !

Just installed the app and its exactly the as if I'm browsing on a mobile, even the same layout.

Plus, is still doesn't manage to fit images to suit, you still have to scroll sideways.

Thanks for the info Alpha, much better picture viewing, still not autosizing but imprived.

Not sure everyone knows about the app. Great work whoever developed it !

I noticed that I was rundning the site in mobile mode automatically. When I switched to Classic mode all the problems disappeared.
