Symptom: Dead

Test 5 Amp fuses at F100 / F101 - F101 blown
Replace fuse F101 with 6.5 Amp fuse
Have power, but fuse at F700 now blows

Test frame mounted transistors - short on 2N3792 Q706
Replace with MJ21193
Fire up monitor, have life, but partial horizontal collapse.

Start to look at components in that circuit
Resistor at R711 smoked
Replace R711
Fuse F700 blows again.

Replace fuse.
Test MPSU57 at Q703 - short
Replace with CENU57

Ah, the F600/F700 fuse blowing issue, excellent work James. A 6100 lives to fight another day.

might sound like an extravagance but, depending on when last rebuild was I migh have done all the frame transistors and supporting components. Only because if one has gone its likely the others might go soon.

I still have about a 50/50 success rate on certain components at finding dead ones.
