Whats up with this screen ?

Sort of console related, as connected to XBOX one, but what causes this problem on an LCD screen ? (the bright bit down the side, when you pop up black menu or anything, it takes a few seconds to fade and the never quite does it completely on right hand side.

Its bleed from the backlight, i had a very very expensive Samsung curve do prety much the same thing. Its beyond economical repair if it like mine.

Mine was both sides as well.
