[ukvac] Whilst we're MAMEing

All this talk of MAME just reminded me... one of the lasses
works for some company making satellite decoding
equipment (digiboxes of some form) - she was saying how they've
just got MAME hacked enough to add it to their products...

Don't know if they're planning of releasing these devices or
whether it was just a theoretical task in a test lab, but it
brought about vague interest from those at my party...

RE: [ukvac] Whilst we're MAMEing
Agh, I don't believe it - the Sky Digibox is about as powerful as my left
toe when it comes to throwing graphics around, and that's for bespoke apps.
Just thinking about the processor power needed to run MAME is making my
Digibox dev kit break into a cold sweat. Unless it's another box she's on
about, but that's the main satellite jobbie in the UK.
