Xbox 360 - vertical shooters

Hi All,

I'm considering getting a Japanese Xbox 360 so what are the best vertical shoot 'em ups please. I have my eye on Raiden Fighters and DoDonpachi Black label but any advice would be appreciated !

Raiden IV and lots of CAVE shooters available. I have most of them but not played them yet

I presume that the UK and Japanese Xbox 360 are both running the games at 60fps/60hz so in effect there is no differences in the games other than the language displayed?

^ that's true but not all games are region free

Iirc dodonpachi saidaioujou. Dodonpachi ressurection. Mushi futari, espgaluda 2, deathsmiles ans akai katana are all region free. Muchi pork ketsui etc are jap. Can highly recommend getting your 360 cracked then you can just install them all on a hard drive. 360 is awesome for shmups

The Muchi Muchi Pork and Pink Sweets double pack is region free. Also Guwange.

Thanks all, Raiden Fighters Aces is the one I'm really drawn to and this is Japanese only.

I really like Eschatos - it’s looks a little basic but it plays ace and the soundtrack is phenomenal.
Raider Fighters Aces is a great compilation.

I was playing Shooting Love 200X compilation earlier and there was a game on there with loads of mini games,everytime you died you’d go onto the next game, was having loads of fun

i have a jtagged job with about 450 games loaded. i have had this for about 4 years now. the first 1 died on me so i grabbed the hard drive and headed to a mate who transferred all the games and some new 1's onto the slim hard drive. i play mine on a lindbergh every sunday afternoon
