I got the Xbox ultimate thingy as cheap as chips for next three years and have almost ran out of space on my Xbox scorpio edition with extra games from gamepass.

Downlaoded fifa 21 today which was 50 gb. Star wars squadron was 25gb too !

Think I need to get an external drive to save myself hassle as upto 90% now !

I was thinking a 2tb seagate hdd, the green one which seems to come up when you search for decent hdd;s

Or the samsung 1tb ssd t5/t7 maybe second hand, as missed the cashback offers :(

Just wondered if people had used a portable hdd and found it painful and upgraded to ssd. Or if the samsung 2tb HDD will be fine once your in gameplay etc.

Dont really want to sepnd £100+

Thanks

The HDD in the xbox one x is just a laptop hard drive, so any external hdd should offer similar performance.

Plug in 3.5" drives with 7200 RPM could potentially offer better over USB 3 but I doubt you would see much of a jump if using SSD plus it will be much more expensive
