Hi All

I have an original Xbox (modded by Beaps to get 480/720/1080 menu options). The console was made 29/08/2002. I have a Samsung 32" HD Smart TV (about 3 years old) with a component cable (5 sockets ; 2 x red, 1 x white, 1 x blue, 1 x green). The current screen output is 720 x 480 at 60 i (fps) when I play some games like OutRun 2.

I know my TV can output to 1920 x 1080 for TV and films. So what is the best cable to get the sharpest screen display for my Xbox games; is it a component or SCART lead and if so which supplier would you reccommend?

Cheers

Mark

Component is going to be better than scart, an official cable has better built quality but I doubt anyone would be able to tell the difference when it comes to picture and sound quality. The problem is an official one is rare and expensive where as the no name ones can be picked up for £4.

You're problem is that you are using an Xbox, and HD resolutions were a bit of an afterthought and for the US market only, you want the games to look better, buy a CRT display!
