My wife and I were invited to an event in or near Wolverhampton by a nice guy we met at Arcade Club back in March, I didn't end up making it due to work commitments at the time but swore then that I'd make more of an effort to get out into the community this year.

Looking forward to doing that but with 2020 pretty much cancelled I'm curious as to know what your top events have been this last few years?

I'd be lucky to list 5 as I don't get out much.

I think I prefer meeting people to exchange stuff and play the odd game in a garage. Some great folk on here. Of course Arcade Club is quite staggering (in a good way

).

It's a bit like when I was more into cars - pulling engines and doing silly conversions with mates was actually more satisfying that going to a huge event to drink beer.

Actually, I think I enjoy the electronics/software tinkering more than the games - I'm sometimes at a loss at what to play at the events I go to (I look for games I already have

Too many to pick faves really... private invites are often very very cool. Invites to raids too

For public stuff, well each event is different even if it's the same one but a year later.. Arcade Club is probably the largest 'wow' to see for the first time (and the Sky Skipper Reveal weekend was pretty special/mental!), and there's also Leeds and 'the other one' soon.

Revival events have always been great - superb community feel. Cambridge computing museum has also been another highlight. I hope to get to NERG in future too - it's always been just a tad too far away, so needs a bit more planning on my side logistically! South Coast Slam also had good writeups - sadly it's not been on for a while.

Seconded the Revival events. A great weekend to be had. Be warned though. The more you go to, the more people you end up knowing, you'll just do more talking than gaming!

You'd need a Tardis to go to most of the best meets/events but, in no particular order, and at the risk of offending people I forget to mention (don't be offended I just ran out of space)

Anything at Ravs Retrokade

South Coast Slam

Anything at Boneheads

Anything involving Honiton/Bazfish

Paul Swans Meet

and, err a cheeky six/seven would be the UKVAC meets 1.x at Andy Jones/Matt Garrets and Mottmeets/Blazer Frazer as they were dual venue efforts...

Soooo, err yeah, perhaps our best is largely behind us :)
