I was thinking the same, will give it a try cheersI have never messed with these but if the screen is like a Mobile phone screen (Not all mind) There is a strip as appose to a connector and it just lies on it. It can move or get dust in between that can cause this. If you can remove the screen , IPA and refit. May work , May not !

Tried to clean and re seat the ribbon cable on lcd but no change
🤬Assume screen bost then, Does not look like a controller issue (as far as I can see anyway)

Maybe they changed overtime or more likely, they can’t replace item. They probably never shipped just a screen before.Yeah, could just be a connection. I bought a faulty Ms Pac-Man with hopes of fixing it, but inside was just a mess of hot glue. They basically hot glued everything in sight, so be warned.
So, they aren't making any quarter arcades anymore? I presume they all use the same LCD screen, so you don't need a specific Galaga one.
I wonder if the screens were made to order, or just off-the-shelf ones...Maybe they changed overtime or more likely, they can’t replace item. They probably never shipped just a screen before.
I’m sure they have new machines coming
this actually really sucks, i have all of mine sat on a shelf and havent turned them on since forever, its still a great little display piece though even if it doesnt work properly, dont throw it out, im sure someone would take it off youJust pulled my minty boxed galaga out the cupboard and it now has vertical lines on the screen!
I emailed numskull they replied quickly but said they no longer make them or have any parts! So just a throw away item I guess?
Anyone know of a source or fix for the screens?
Thanks Ronnie

That's why I wasn't too bothered about not being able to fix the faulty one I bought. They spend 99.9% of the time on a shelf, anyway.this actually really sucks, i have all of mine sat on a shelf and havent turned them on since forever, its still a great little display piece though even if it doesnt work properly, dont throw it out, im sure someone would take it off you
i think the only one of mine that has got any playtime is the Ms Pac-Man, and i pretended to buy that for my daughter for christmas, so thats why that has been playedThat's why I wasn't too bothered about not being able to fix the faulty one I bought.
