Hi All, does anyone on here take on restoration jobs at all?

I have a Battlezone cabaret I want to restore but haven’t ever had any time to start it.

Thanks in advanced

Hope it’s not that one on eBay :ROFLMAO:

To restore a cab it usually involves spending a lot of hours and work to bring it up to a decent standard. The cost of labour and potentially souring hard to find parts might be worth more than the cab. This is why people restore cabs themselves, they can do it at their own leisure and source replacement parts as and when they find them.

Is your cab complete with nothing missing or badly damaged? If it only needs a small amount of work then maybe someone might take it on for a reasonable price. If there’s going to be a lot of work involved then it might be quicker/cheaper to sell your cab as it is and buy another one that’s already fully restored.

To be honest, I don’t know anyone who offers a cab restoration service.

No, it’s not that one lol
It’s a working cab that needs a bit of tlc to it but I’m no good at that sort of thing to be honest.

That’s the reason why I put the question out, I’m happy to pay someone for there time and skill restoring it back to a descent looking cab if possible.. 👍🏼

This.

It will probably cost you a thousand or two for a professional restore.

Don't restore it, conserve it. easier, cheaper, and less invasive. Plus you can sell it as original and not some frankencab.

Pictures would help. I could possibly do it with about a week turnaround if it's complete, you would have to do all the transportation. Strip/clean/rebuild/wiring/PSU etc - yet no vinyl transfers or major woodwork. I conserve.

Ah, I see, the one listed is 326686344757 and the biggest pile off utter utter crap I've seen for a while. Nothing at all to do with BZ except the sticker... what a mess.

Yeah I can send some over tomorrow, I have better control panel and bought replacement bellows for the joysticks and new t moulding for it too.
It plays fine, its mainly cosmetic on the outside that needs the attention.

It has the redzone multi kit in it as well, I was also looking at getting a new bezel for it..

Whereabouts are you ?

Birmingham.

If it's new decals, T moulding etc, I can't really help... advise maybe.

It has an original BZ board alongside the Redzone, or just the multi board?

I can do the controls without a problem, but it seems crazy to deliver the whole machine - just the panel will do.

No decals, no it’s just the multi board.
It’s mainly the very slight wood damage wear and tear

Send some pics of the wood damage and I'll show you how to fix it easily if it's dings, holes, or corners. The controllers will be quite a simple job if you can send or deliver the panel.

I just saw the other items listed with 'that one on ebay'. Ouch for a coin mech. Maybe his keyboard's busted and only the 8 and 0 num keys work. Everything's 800 quid.
