So many but maybe a few for me: Neo Geo Shock Troopers 2. Arcade OP Thunderbolt to Op Wolf. Any of the N64 sequels to SNES classics (SMW, SMK, ZELDA, F Zero, Pilot Wings), any Final Fight sequels, N64 Perfect Dark to Goldeneye….

Metal Slug (sequels were good, but the original was so well formed)
Strider 2 (good, but a bit rough around the edges)
Turtles in Time (too much of the same)
Double Dragon 3 (toss)
Street Fighter 4 (3rd Strike was cooler)
Ridge Racer 2 (more a V1.1 and they sacked-off all the interesting cab variants)

where does rave racer fit in ?
Sequal or sideways ?
I like the feeling of roads going young down more in rave racer than ridge racer .

Battle mode is Awsome ..

4 player switch 2 off line ver of the snes or gb Mkart advance
Would be great

Mario 64 is not better than the snes. So in that fact it worse.

I always saw Rave Racer as the proper sequel.
I thought it was amazing when in came out, all the bridges, cars jumping all over the place, 2-player etc.

(But 30+ years later, collecting-wise, I'd rather have a 3-screen Ridge Racer than a 2-player Rave Racer)

Kick my self for not squeezimg a Ridge 2 delux into my van some how or getting it deliverd ..
And squeezimg it into my life too some how .. in the bed room perhaps ..

I’m hoping to have a working driving cab multi soon and giving the series some proper time.

Yeh rave racer blew me away om launch ..

Possibly the first time I ever saw 640x480 on a rear projection screen ..
That type of texture mapping was brand new and great just to look at without even playing 😊
Is the 3 screen er in mame now ?

It's still a great game, but man, the more I played it in the arcade the more it felt like a step back. They replaced characters instead of just adding characters, the combo system was more restrictive, and gargos was way less impressive than eyedol.

Still great, just not as great as the original.
