They had one in Felixstowe
In the arcade opposite the pier
It wasn’t there too long
I’m guessing the stick broke and it got moved on
I was young then had a few goes then it was gone
But that might have been in there a year but at that age didn’t go there that often

It took a while but I did suss it out and figured out how to play it properly
I remember it being way better than home ports

But folks who have played it more recently say it isn’t great 😆 going back

But I think it’s cool
Nearly bought one a couple of times
Monster cab though

I think I will just play it when I do the yearly run t’up north to visit all the Arcadeclub sites

Good one:)

It's not one I recall seeing in arcades I went in but doesn't mean there wasn't one as I only remember a select few but again my main memories are playing it on the C64
I played it quite a bit and then when outrun released I bought that which had the audio tape of outrun music with 720 on the other side

When 720 machine came up for sale on ebay and backflipper let me know I bid on it and won it for £250 which surprised me, guy down south owned it for quite a few years, I was down there just after 8am on Saturday morning to pick it up, he was pretty good at the game, it's one of those you really need to be dedicated at like skate boarding I guess to really get good at it and get decent high scores

Another Atari classic, Med Res and great colours with cool music

Surprised no one has mentioned Electronic Arts Skate or Die, Don't think I had this game, obviously inspired by 720

Nice price on the 720 . I don’t think I. Ever played skate or die either .not sure why .as I played everything .maybe I just couldn’t accept it as a copy .though I never realised that it was so much like it in a. Way

Yeah the arcade version was a different league entirely.the home versions were playable at least and you could just use your imagination to believe it was as good .For me the graphics and sound still hold their own as does the gameplay .but it appears I’m in the minority

Love all the Atari 80s games, Gauntlet was the first game I loved once I was allowed to go to Arcades without my Brother. Had 720 on the C64, was OK I suppose, first played the proper Arcade at the end of the 80s during a Coach Trip to Blackpool. Was a trip that opened my eyes to how good the Arcades were, only seeing in Mags before hand, we did not get many dedicated machines round Sheffield, just generic JAMMA cabs really. I just love the 80s suburban America vibes these games give off, bit like the early Lucasarts SCUMM point and click stuff, needless to say, if I had the room, I would have 3-4 Atari cabs, hour and a half drive to Arcade Club is the more sensible alternative.

Loved Blackpool in 80s and 90s ,I still do ,but it was absolutely amazing then
Arcade memories that will never fade
The Atari cabs and the big sega cabs
Though I wasted most of my money on fruit machines to try and win more money to play the games .we all know how that ends lol

Yeah I've got the same images behind the description tiles 'Content not viewable in your region' !....!
I'm new here, is it supposed to have that ?
First I’ve saw it was a few days ago .
On another thread ,a member channel 27 told us this

The "Content not viewable" image issue is because they're hosted on Imgur which is now blocked in the UK (due to the Information Commissioner's Office threatening to fine them over the Online Safety Act)

Change the forum style to the default setting, it's fine on that.
On laptop:

Or mobile, scroll down to the bottom, click the style button above the "contact us" link.

Always remember the 720 they had in the big arcade in Sheerness. They had a few decent Atari cabs, Xybots, APB, and of course Asteroids. I was the poor kid on a limited budget and tried 720 a few times but didn't know what i was doing. That's why i was sticking to some games i could get the most out of 20p. One day i will locate a 720 somewhere and give it a good go at last..
