I've struggled to come up with much looking back over my favourite SFC, PCE, MD, Saturn titles etc but as mentioned above the DC stands out.

That and the N64 were the most modern consoles I ever bought or was interested in and I always thought the DC was the greatest missed opportunity that sadly was crushed by the Sony media machine.

Many of the games were the only true/first (apart from NG of course!) 'arcade perfect' conversions and again as mentioned with all the extra features actually improved on the arcade.

Silkworm is better on the Amiga, apart from that the only one I have stumbled across is Athena on the Nes, its slightly less shite!

Then a few Capcom games were better on the Nes but so different they dont really count I guess. Thinking of Gun. Smoke and Bionic Commando
Silkworm is an interesting one .
I remember gunsmoke being quite fun on the nes. In a way that the arcade version was wasn’t maybe

I've heard it said that, in some ways, Daimakaimura on PC Engine SuperGrafx is better than the arcade version. 😯

I've got it but I'm too crap at it to give a valid opinion. Lol.
Oh I member the hype well about this ,megadrive version was pretty hot too
But you’ve made me want to lay the supergrafx version now .think I played it on a modded Xbox years ago ,never had the super grafx ,too skint lol .was there only about 8 games for it ?

When i first had a go on buggy boy arcade I wasn't so impressed over the C64 version, can't say it's better as I haven't played it enough on Arcade, kinda thought the smaller car suited it better and was a brilliant conversion

Strider on PC Engine has extra levels, apparently. Haven't played it yet, though.
Yeah, there’s a second desert level. A bit bland, but a nice idea. CD soundtrack is ok too.

Megadrive Strider was a superb conversion (first game I got for my MD), but arcade version has a slight edge with colours etc.

Rolling Thunder 2 had lots of extras on the MD, but the arcade version looks and sounds noticeably better side-by-side.

There were lots of good Rainbow Islands versions, but not sure any were better than the arcade - equal maybe.
Shame they got caught nicking Somewhere Over The Rainbow and took that out of many versions.

C64 Bionic Commando is better than the PCB IMO. I always liked Ghouls N Ghosts on the MD, seems to play really well, although graphically inferior to the PCB. ESWAT was a different game on the MD, had more depth, my fav though is Revenge of Shinobi/Super Shinobi which is better than the Arcade game it was based on.
