Just for the record, I think a lot of this stuff is more than salvageable. I mean most are just missing a monitor chassis or PCB. Some are complete.

I would have turned up with a huge van and just emptied the entire lot.

sprry to shatter your dreams, oll, but almost NONE of the cabs is salvagable, but most of them have been destroyed / vandalized / emptied. there are still parts like power supplies or coin door which one COULD get out, but apart from that, the place is an arcade tomb!

no, you wouldn't have

! you would have been stopped by an iron gate with a lock!!! from there, the "game room" is more than 500 meters away, you have to traverse countless stairs and rough terrain which makes getting even a single machine out close to impossible. apart from that, police is patrolling the premises! good luck

I'd fail at that then

Can't leave something there rotting away, neither can the GF, while I was asking to help me get the machine from the decaying hotel/hospital, she was digging out arcade pcbs from the rubbish and got some 4, double dragon 3 being one of them combatribes, a Capcom? and a bootleg.

yep, fill your boots and then scarper, it would all get skipped if you didn't, I also don't see the point in taking photographs and then going back after 2 years and saying 'ooooh look some of the items have gone, thats a shame...'

all depends what your hobby is I suppose...

EXACTLY JENGINEER !!! Thanks for having the power to say that!

IT IS A SHAME

Totally what I think.
We are the watchers, we have to save the stuff....and not only what falls by it self in our hands....and not only vector games are worth getting saved!

Going there and rip the machines....taking PCB´s, monitors and marquees as trophies (as he showed-off at DLF) and than calling others vandals is most arrogant and ignorant thing I have ever seen!!!

Take the machine and restore it, or let them the way they are!

It takes real men of coure to save arcade-machines from the hell.
