Hi guys,

I am looking to sell my Spy Hunter sit down + spares, universal cabinet and Rad Mobile upright (with spare boards). All needs some work.

Would I be better off selling it on here or eBay please ?

Thanks,

Ian

The community and members would certainly want you to sell here to the vast amount of collectors.

If you want increased hassle, and letdowns, but higher cash price for the effort - then ebay is the way to go.

The community doesn't tend to like ebay, you bid against people who are not willing to pay, and from your point of view selling - ebay always side with the buyer in any dispute.

Nice sought after cabs! I would definitely advise to sell on here as you are much less likely to get messed around and you will still get a very good price.

You can put them in valuations if you need any advice on what they may be worth.

Thanks guys.

I have been out of the hobby for 10 years plus. Is it still quite active, or have issues like a lack of flybacks put a dampener on it ?

I'd wager you've probably already had messages on that lot

.
As above, eBay for more money, at risk.

But also be wary of giving anything away on here - it could easily be back up for sale in a few weeks on eBay.

Not much has changed aside from everything costs triple what it used to as the bulk of stock has been bought and raids have diminished.

To be honest I don't think you necessarily get more money on Ebay, especially once you've paid fees. You just have more people trying it on and we don't always know what things sell for or if infact they actually sell at all!

Thanks for the advice. I am erring on the side of using the forums. I really want to sell to someone who knows what they are doing, particularly as I am looking to sell a machine manufactures in 1983 which will obviously be sold as seen due to the age of it. That said whoever comes to buy it can check it out before handing over any money.

Yeah sell on here .if no takers ,put them on eBay
Let’s see some pics please .we all just love pics

The hobby must be close to its peak atm if not at it
With loads of retro arcades owning a load of stuff ,
It’s possible to play these great machines again ,with someone else maintaining them and storing them

Always to do it in a far more hassle free way on here rather than ebay. Put them in the valuations section to get an idea of what they are worth now, I imagine already messages are coming through to you offering you money, haha.

definitely sell on here with a first come first served basis cash on collection,

I wouldn't do holds, anything like "I'll have that mate can you hold it til I get paid in 3 weeks" is normally a no go
