I remember getting in touch with the chap was going to check it out around the closing time, but don't think anything ever came from it, looking at my pic of the White City arcade Simpsons cab, this defo is the same one, must have just been moved into the pub.
I would imagine the opening has now been secured or the place may have been trashed, those pics on the urban site were posted in March and may well have been taken a bit earlier than that..so that's 2 months ago.
Who are the owners, maybe I'll try and sound them out when I visit.

I was offered one of those Simpsons cabs late last year and people on here said it was too big for collectors.
He only wanted £200 for it I think.
I will try and give him a call to see if he still has it in storage and if it's for sale.
I hope someone can get to this arcade as like muddy music says it will all get trashed if not taken!!

I met the owners son their last year and he let me have a look around inside. Was really helpful and let me have a few boards and a CP etc. Was on holiday so didn't have much room in the car. I have the contact details if anyone is interested. I did tell a few people about this place last year.

I did try while I was there last week, but it was a no go with the owner, sadly kids were also getting in round the back, I went to have a look and follow them, but it was broad daylight, the toildt wall has been smashed and if you can see the urinals over the pile of rubble/rubbish, then I heard Police sirens so legged it. haha. The kids looked like locals, so imagine groups of them are using it as a hangout and have probably bricked whatever remains inside now. Wouldn't surprise me if tramps are not living in there, it was dark inside and owner said everything has deteroriated fast, so not that safe. The owner took my details and said he would come back to me, but not heard anything back yet.Bensonrad2016-06-10 16:12:53

This was one of the arcades I used to go to a lot when growing up,about 5 miles form home. Remember some classics from BITD - a row of 4 Defenders, Space Duel, Millipede, Robotron amongst many others.
They also had some fab fruities which had by then overtaken my passion for vids including one I never saw anywhere else - Fruit Banker a converted barcrest Exchanges Unlimited or similar and was very similar to Wheel of Fortune which was more common.
Ended up getting banned as they purged some of the locals who lost less on the fruits than the holidaymakers. Only arcade I was ever banned from and one of my favourites

Has anyone been to see it since? It's such a shame those machines are left in there to rot.

I was thinking about it a few weeks ago, mainly about the DJ stuff as could quite do with those crates of CDs, I found a video on the net, which actually showed how people climb up on the roof and through the broken window, there was a T2 cab in there as well. The owner never replied to my follow ups, I imagine the place has had a full on trashing now from all the kids that could get in. The seller when I did speak to him was more hinting that a lot of stuff get taken/sold rather than just single cabs. I am sure Andypc was going back there.

A raid needs to be arranged to this place... It's so sad that those cabs are stuck in there likely being destroyed by kids. I never understood why kids trash things like that. Also the fascination of smashing windows too.
Looks like the RR cab is still there and in fairly okish shape still. Looks like damp has got to it though now from looking at the chair/wheel (unless it's dust?). Only thing i noticed is the plastic frame around the screen has been removed.
I'm in talks with a local(ish) arcade operator and hes looking for cabs. I would love to buy the RR and stick it in his arcade.
