Arcade Archives Mr. Do! Released TODAY!

Hey guys.
At long last, Hamster Corp have released Mr Do! as part of their Arcade Archives series.
Available from today (15th May 2026) on Ps4, Ps5, Switch 1 & 2 and Xbox.

I've been waiting for this for so long, I can't remember how long it is.

The game has several modes, going right back to the original concept with the snowman.
Before the clown became the main character.

And it has a 5 min timed Caravan mode for short games.

There seems to be two versions of this on Switch. There's a slightly more expensive version for Switch 2. Bit odd, as I can't imagine what difference there could be, and presumably the regular Switch version will work on Switch 2... Or maybe it doesn't?

The whole charging more for the switch 2 version is very odd. Their explanation is there's less latency etc. but really? A 40 odd year old game, struggles with the Switch so needs a Switch 2 upgrade to play properly? That seems farcical.

Yeah, that is ridiculous. Well, Nintendo, my response to this is to not buy either version, now. Lol.

It's a bit of a cash grab, no surprise there.
Ps4 version won't work on ps5.
But if you buy one, it'll give you a discount for buying the other version as well.
I guess the days of backwards compatibility are but a distant memory.

Anyone notice that it doesn't play quite right?
I find that reds will sometimes just eat you when following you, for no reason.
Which isn't normal behaviour for them.
And SUPER aggressive diggers, way earlier than expected.
I've been chased all the way across the screen by diggers on scene 3!
And many times it's happened before scene 10.
That's not as it should be.
I'm struggling to reach 500k on ps4 but will piss past the million on mame or mister.

I'm using a genuine Sony licenced Mayflash Venom fight stick with a Sanwa JLF with a proper 4-way gate.

And have used the same joystick on mame and mister, and it's fine, so I don't think it's the joystick causing lag or anything unusual.

Anyone else having unusual things happening on console Mr Do ?
