Hi All,
A longtime fan of Arcade Marquees and Toppers so thought I would start a thread to see which ones carry strong memories and still set hearts racing amongst members!
Indeed it was actually seeing a warmly lit Golden Axe Marquee on a designated Cabinet in 1989 Florida that enticed me over to play and beg my parents for quarters . One of my first arcade memories.
I have seen some fantastic collections of Marquees on the Forum over the years and as a fan of All things Electrocoin @_Matt_ vast collection of Electrocoin marquees blew my mind !


Anyway will kick start the thread with my NBA JAM marquees and topper which I pulled out this this morning.

I only have a few oddball things but probably the most oddball is a topper from a sega grandprix, made in 1969. I'd put up a picture but I don't have one!

I know the big plastic alien head from alien syndrome does be sought after, its cool looking

Just to add the metal moonwalker topper is also neat

It was a downsize from Rail Chase 2 Deluxe I got first but that was Huge, they did RC2 in this cab as well so my aim is to run both in this though the 50" screen one was cool, same as Jurassic Park cab as well. It was either I get After Burner Deluxe or this, Rail Chase won as it's just fun ride

I do have a Jurassic Park marquee, got curved top and speakers in it, was cheap off ebay years back not sure if I have pics of it but from one of the uprights

I don't remember seeing Spider Man in my arcades. I thought it was just a promotion thing but hanging above the machine would be good attraction for the machine which I hadn't thought about

Can't remember if it was with a job lot of artwork or just bought seperate, had it years though and from ebay

I've had a few repro marquees but only one original one which was a Donpachi marquee that I bought with the PCB from BYOAC of all places...

Although I (regretably) sold the PCB 10+ years ago I kept hold of the marquee with the intention of making a light box for it. A couple of years ago I got round to making one from some upcycled black faced MDF from another project. I mounted it to the wall with a french cleat.

That looks super cool @FrancoB !
Looks elegant and house friendly plus really works with the colored
T-moulding also.
Great Job.
Will have to think about doing something like this with a few of mine - maybe a system 16 light box with some of my sega bits? Or mixing up some
of my street fighter marquees ?
Will dig out some next week :)

Not sure I will ever tire of playing this one. Electrocoin did a nice job with their SF2 marquees. Unfortunately my world warrior Electrocoin marquee is so brittle after years of marquee light it can’t be removed.
Replacement needed of this if anyone has a spare !

Love a Neo Geo Mini Marquee, picked up a few NOS while in US last year (Magician Lord, Ghost Pilots and Robo Army ) definitely some of my favorites to play currently.
