Hi,

I have an original moon quaser pcb made by nichtibutsu which I’m fixing,does this board originally have an encrypted z80cpu?
It does not boot but if I put in the 8 program roms(decrypted) from a moon cresta it boots.

Moon quasar roms are encypted, so i guess the original had a potted cpu or daughterboard.

Oh, and graphics use different paging to moon cresta as well, so its not just a rom swop!

Thats a shame I can’t get it to boot due to not having that decrypted cpu
This game was launched just a few months after moon cresta in 1980 and was a spin off release which I think was better than moon cresta.

It does work (last time I checked at least). I wouldn’t be against selling it but it is collectible. Sold one years ago to an Australian.
