Latest News

The lease should be being signed today, so with any luck we should be
open in around 4 weeks time.

Games so far
Pacland
Baby PacMan
Outrun
Outrun Turbo
Blastroids
Mercs
Operation ThunderBolt
Gryzor
BombJack
Afterburner
Double Dragon 1,2,3 (well maybe not 3,its a terrible game)
Pang
Tumble Pop
Puzzle Bobble
Pulstar
Winning Run
Salamander
Nemesis
Rolling Thunder
Moon Patrol
The main Event (4 player)
Commando
Players Choice 10 (space allowing - bottom of the list !)
Lethal Weapon pinball

I will have space for around 30 cabinets

I have also got quite a large range of computers and colsoles now, BUT
I am still after Sinclair QL's, Atari ST's, ZX80's, again these are for
show and full credits will be given if you want to lend them to us.
With the amount of interest around for these things at the moment from
the media you may get your 15 minutes of fame !
Or we will sell them for you on a commision basis.

Any more suggestions for games would be a great help !

PS I'm still looking for a Bubble Bobble, mine has bust :(

Sorry I haven't got back to you yet, Yes an old apple would be good, I
am trying to get at least 1 of every type of computer. I dont know
enough about apples to know which was the first, or most inovative. Do
you still have the Atari Lynx ? We now have a good Atari collection, I
think the only think missing from it now is the Atari Portfolio.

I have two Atari Lynx handholds so one is yours. With regards to the Apple
stuff. The Apple II was the computer that started the home computer
industry, the Apple III was a failed business model so maybe not for an
arcade museum. The lisa was teh first computer with a graphical user
interface but also doomed cause of it's price and the Mac that came out a
few months later for half the price and size. A Mac Plus might be nice
though, it's small and it was a real games machine when it game out. The
Pipin I would only lend you if it would be in a glass enclosure since it's
an extremly rare prototype. The pipin was only sold in Japan by Bandai to
schools and was made as a standalone games console and education device.

I might also have some LCD handhelds hanging around, might be nice to make
a big wall collage of these. Anyone else have some?

Keep us up to date so we can spread the word of the location!

Cheers, I think the Apple II is going to be the most recognised, I seem
to recall it from my distant past.

The Location, It's just outside Maidstone town centre, on the main road
out of the centre, so lots of people can see it, various reason why I
didn't have it in the town centre itself, sat night trouble, rent, etc.
We have enough room for around 30 20" machines and we will still have
1/2 the place free for computers, consoles hand helds etc, anything
thats interestings. The idea is to have a display taking you from the
first to the lastest. We have a fully workng binatone console, the one
with the tennis game, shooting etc still in the box ! right upto the
dreamcast.

We are a bit thin on Sega consoles thinking about it, so far I only
have the game gear. But as I dont much like Nintendo we arn't bothering
with em. The N64 is dead in the water anyway !

I think the original GameBoy and some of the original LCD Nintendo
games are must haves mind you! They are classics, and don't take up
much space. You want to grab the original huge display cabinets the
Gameboys were originally demoed in, back in the early 90s.

In a similar vein, have you considered / do you have any of the old LED
"arcade" games? You know, the likes of Astro Wars, Puck-Man, Earth
Invaders etc by the likes of Grandstand and CGL.

If you're having consoles and game and watches then you can't really
omit these )

Has anyone thought about the insurance on this museum, collectively you
only need to get a few vectors within its walls and you will already
have several k's worth of equipment in one place, and if the place where
to burn to the ground or summin?

Just thought I'd mention it as a local (defunct!) computer company
decided to have a little collection of old computers in the reception
area a while back. They where astonished when they found out that it
would cost them alot more to insure the building because of it.

I agree about the early game&watch hand helds they did, but people dont
want to part with them ! Within reason I wont turn anything down,
Gameboys are a different kettle of fish, as they are still going strong
I dont see the point yet

In a similar vein, have you considered / do you have any of the old LED
"arcade" games? You know, the likes of Astro Wars, Puck-Man, Earth
Invaders etc by the likes of Grandstand and CGL.

If you're having consoles and game and watches then you can't really
omit these )

Yep I have considered it, so far I have 2 Astro Wars by grandstand,
still boxed !, although 1 is bust :( as ever I havent had a chance to
look at it properly yet but I think its just the power adapter thats
broken not the display (I hope), again these are very hard to find,
well at least working ones are.

We have just got hold of Rolling Thunder 2, Galaxian (board) and Space
Invaders for the arcade part. Cheers to Chris Jackson at the Arcade
Warehouse for the deal.
