If any of th puzxle gobbles are originals I'll take one off your hands, any cps3 Simms in the pile as I need 1*128mb

It will be a little while before I get a chance to sort through the gear, but there must be an original in the pile. I'll get back to you.

Awesome thread. I've been a tad discouraged by recent forum activity and not been on that much of late. However this thread is just brilliant.

Some truly great photos of the untouched haul and some great cabs rescued.

I really must try and find a PP cab for myself at some point.

Fabulous stuff, thanks for sharing.

There’s a nice point blanc cab in the for sale section.
It’s a super nice one with the original topper which is very rare to see.

I have seen this cab in the flesh and it’s a good as the pics.

Intriguing Space Invader photo.... The clear section of the bezel is portrait instead of landscape. That kind of suggests is was used directly over a screen (like some of the Part 2s) rather than in front of a reflected image.

Also of note - as far as I know Taito Space Invaders (incld Deluxe and Part 2) always had the player 1 and 2 buttons positioned horizontally. The bezel here indicates that they were positioned vertically.

My hunch is that is was created for a bootleg machine. But it's just a hunch... and wouldn't take anything away from this being a very cool find.

Ol do you have a link to your facebook Taitronics page???

The CPS ‘SIMMS’ are actually custom flash ROM PCBs, rather than computer-style DRAM. Darksoft actually made a batch.

I grabbed Baraduke, but the Op had a last minute change of heart and wanted to keep hold of Kikikaikai. I went back in the barn and swapped it for Rabio Lepus.

Very nice haul! You're right about the Seattle boards used in those Carnevil cabs. A local op I know had the 34" version, I think he went through 2 or 3 pcbs. Sold the cab in the end! Shame really as the game isn't that bad. Stu at Timewarp Arcade had similar trouble with his Vapor TRX as they use the same model/type of board. I ended up converting an NFL Blitz board to Vapor TRX for him, that didn't last very long either!

I loved carnevil. I also had the 34” and it played fine. Sold it on and bought another which was nothing but trouble so sold it for parts.
Would love a worker again but from what I hear the pcbs are a nightmare.

To be honest Steve, the Mame emulation of it is just about spot on these days so putting in a decent pc with it on (my Core I3 pc has the occasional sound stutter playing it) would be a better bet i'd say! Not sure how the lightguns would interface to it but there's bound to be a way.
