Hi, I've been trying to track down an upright cab for Asteroids Deluxe for a few years now without success. I have collected a full set of original components, repaired them all and now have a fully functioning Asteroids Deluxe on the bench. I've just about given up on finding a cab in the UK so am going to try and build my own using plans I've found scattered around the internet.
My first, pretty fundamental question is what were the original cabs made from? Plywood, MDF, chipboard or something else?
My second question is a request - is there anyone out there who has an upright AD who might be able to help me obtain some of the inner measurements/plans? For example I have no information about the brackets inside the cab that support the monitor. If you have a cab and would be prepared to help, I'd love to hear from you.
(Of course if you know of a cab that's available in the UK, then all my other questions become redundant
)
Thanks for reading this far!
