Atari Time Pilot

This is the Time Pilot cab that I would love to own one day, as I have fond memories of playing one in Bournemouth pier arcade.

Just how rare is the Atari version? Anyone here own one? Just wondering, having been reminded of it today...

I have a vague memory of seeing a pic of someone's, but years ago. May have even been on JAMMA+.

We had two but not in Atari cabs … one was in a small omni cab .. had it for a long time on our youth club sites as the tiny cab was easy to get upstairs and I could easy get two omni cabs in my Astra estate car…..the other I think was just another generic woody? Never actually saw one in original cab . I think very rare especially now even tho pcbs were relatively common in the 80s !
I recall we had an Amidar in an omni cab also … and if I recall a Rygar or similar?

From memory (not reliable), the Atari cab was quite small. Possibly not small enough to be considered a cabaret, though.

this and the sequel were games that i played in many caravan parks growing up, not sure why but Cornwall seemed to have an abundance of Time Pilot, WWE Wrestlefest and Green Beret cabs in the 80's, and god bless them

I have just been reminded that it can also be played on Vecfever cart on Vectrex.

Welcome to the vectorised version of the 1982 arcade game Time Pilot, licensed to Atari by Konami. The licensed version has a nicer attract - the UFO level is present here but absent in the original Konami attract - and a myriad of different security checks plus a marginally newer codebase. But other than that the game is the same as Konami's original.

It's a Vecfever exclusive, which now sells for really silly money. Fortunately, Vector Pilot is still available from the author, and is a fantastic version, especially given that it runs on standard Vectrex hardware.
