Well I picked up the Bomb Jack cabaret. Fired it up tonight and the monitor doesn't work
smiley19.gif
Game seems to play as you can hear the sounds.

Picked up a Sunset Riders board. Thought there was a sound fault but a quick factory defaults got it working. Haven't tested player 3 and 4 but 1 and 2 work fine.

Also picked up a Flying Shark PCB which had a graphics issue and no sound. Turned the pot on the board and we have sound. Re-seated all the chips but still had the graphics fault. Looking closely on the back of the board, I noticed two bent legs touching. Prised these apart and hey presto, graphic fault fixed! Fully working Flying Shark!
smiley1.gif

Haven't touched the Sega Mega Tech stuff of the Turbo Outrun board set.

And JB's monitor is sitting on my dining room table. I'd be very surprised if everyone who was in the warehouse still doesn't have me shouting 'Look out for a 19" WG for John Bud!!' ringing in their ears

PART 1 BARN

The first part of this adventure was to meet in the middle of nowhere on a farm. Full of cabs. Win.

Rav and I got there before the Luton vans of Martin Deliveryman, forcefulfil and adebov. However what frightened all of us the most was adrian_pursar was the first ukvaccer on site! We actually phoned him about 9:30am telling him to get out of bed as we were driving past Newport, Wales only for him to answer FIRST TIME (!!!) and say he was driving past Swansea!!!

may I ask what area was the raid in?, I could have helped out if I knew you where in my area as I live in swansea, no money for cabs though.

math

You are 2 hours away dude. Near Fishguard.

Milky they are yours for £400 the pair. Arrange it with The Deliveryman! He will have to pay for them too.

Update. He has text back to say he will transport them from the farm to the main warehouse so there's one pickup point.

Thanks Oll and Martin - i'll contact Delivery Martin first thing tomoz!

Just on the off chance - did anyone get any pics of the breakout cab?

Only the ones I have - if anyone else took any please share here.

Anyhow he just accepted your offer of £250 for the Breakout.

So that's:

Milky - Turbo Outrun £200
Milky - P47/World Rally Electrocoin Midi £200
Morty - Breakout £250

Anyhow as I say that's me out - so you need to talk to Martin the Deliveryman about payment and picking these up - he'll have to pay cash for them when he can pick them up.

I suspected that when I saw that first photo of the Star Wars cockpit on the Raid day, made me wonder what happened to the star wars spotted in the above and did think perhaps that was the same one. Shocking it was all chucked in there like that. So what did they do move them to another part or just pile more on top!

BARN RAID PART 2 - continued

So, we arrived at the main warehouse. Forcefulfil was already there and a couple of others but most were still on route.

wb_1.jpg

Phil and his mrs! I can see an Operation Thunderbolt!

wb_2.jpg

Can now see loads more cabs.

wb_3.jpg

Aha! The Starwars cockpit. Thank God they moved it from where it was
smiley36.gif

Ok by now everyone had turned up. So I started organising the cab payments and getting the cabs we had came for, on the lutons.

Here's the first we loaded up. Super Sprint.

wb_4.jpg

This is as we found it. Not far from it's original location from when we snapped pix back in 2011..

wb_5.jpg

Taken outside for probably the first time in about 15 years I would imagine! Gratuitious shot of the Star Wars cockpit and all the vans.

wb_6.jpg

Martin loading it up!

wb_7.jpg

Up and onto the van!!!

So at this point I went back in the warehouse, and started to help Big Phil find his Bomb Jack cab - as we couldn't find it ANYWHERE. It wasn't at the front with the rest of the moved cabs.

After moving god knows how many pushers, grab cranes and other random stuff we finally found it! Here's the pic of Phil finding it for the first time

wb_8.jpg

The machine in front of it was the same cabinet but was an unknown.

wb_9.jpg

We inspected the PCB. Original Taito Bubble Bobble pcb - result!

I then made my way back to the front of the warehouse as it was cup of tea time
smiley2.gif
and I managed to take a shot of the truly exceptional shape Operation Wolf being wheeled out as someone had made a deal for it.

wb_10.jpg

I turned around and

wb_11.jpg

Puritys Mr. Do! was being taken outside and loaded up! At this point we found a Electrocoin midi that had a Vulcan Venture plexi marquee. We turned it on and it worked and also had a Vulcan Venture PCB in it too

smiley1.gif

smiley3.gif
smiley10.gif
So a deal was done for that too!
smiley32.gif

We started to uncover more games now as we were moving games out on to the vans.

wb_11_2.jpg

Here you can see an absolutely cracking Taito Space Invaders and another Arkanoid upright (there was one left at the barn). Both of these were taken too!
smiley4.gif
smiley4.gif

So this sums up all the cab pix I have of the games we took. There's a few missing that I didn't manage to take pix of as I was somewhere else whilst they were being pulled out and loaded up. Hopefully others can share their pictures and stories.

Next update: Parts and exploration...

BARN RAID PART 2 - continued

So let's go exploring... Last time I was here there was a ^&*% tonne of parts and pcbs. Lets investigate in the depths of the warehouse.

wb_13.jpg

This is my favourite picture from the entire operation. This was on the main first floor. We left the Hyper Sports cab there as it would have to come down the stairs and it was surrounded by loads of stuff you would have to move.

In this area was basically about 100 JAMMA boards lying everywhere. Monitors and parts too. It was great fun going through all the boards finding all the decent original games. Off the top of my head I found here, and all originals to boot:

Ghostbusters
DragonBreed
Legend of Hero Tomna
Wonderboy III
MERCS
Carrier Airwing
Shinobi x5 or x6!!
ESWAT
Crude Busters
Flying Tiger
Sunset Riders

Moving further on in the first floor I found Big Phil and forcefulfil going through more stuff

wb_14.jpg

About another 50 JAMMA pcbs around here. Check out the manuals that were on the shelves too. Asteroids Deluxe, Missile Command, Millipede and Tapper!! This Op had them all!! Shame they were scrapped by now

Big Phil: "Hey is that a 19" WG monitor???
forcefulfil: "Jesus here's a Philips 932 player, i've opened it up and there's a facking Space Ace disc in it!!!

wb_17.jpg

I wish I had taken more pix of this part - hopefully others have!

Anyhow that is the main first floor building parts and pcbs section done.

On to the old flint barn first floor....

To be continued...
