I've been considering applying artwork to the side of my Tempest cabaret for some time now. The original art files were found and have been reproduced last year, but the cost from the US is an eye watering $160 before shipping and custom charges. Not only that, but the art itself wasn't particularly inspiring (to me anyway), as all the detail was pretty small compared to the overall size. Here's what the original art looks like:
As you can see the detail of the monsters is pretty small.
Anyway, I managed to find a hi res scan of the upright artwork on the web, and with the help of a mate who is proficient with manipulating digital artwork, he came up with an alternative design in the spirit and same size/shape of the original. I got it printed out and applied the art last night. Here's how it came out:
Pretty pleased with that, especially as it was a fraction of the cost of the original stuff.
