I don't think it would be wise plugging cabs that have sat in a pig barn for heaven knows how long, or anywhere from long term storage if you don't know or can't see whats in them. You may end up doing more damage than good.
Announcement
It is my intention to open this up to all ukvac members to allow you to be part of a bulk buy. Please note the following.
1. membership is based on site contribution. Please don't be upset if you aren't invited, I want to provide cool stories and adventures and cheap games to ALL members, but you have to contribute.
2. There are levels of the above, the more you contribute and post, the higher up you get and the more juicy and spicy the level of bulk buys will be offered to you. Contribution is everything to make this a fantastic arcade forum to be for you, me and everyone.
3. You are welcome to be on any other forums you so wish and i'll never have a problem with cross site posting. It's more important to save games and have a great membership community than to play who's got the biggest/best forum.
4. If you always post "I'd love that but I haven't got any money", or the "i'd love that but the mrs would kill me", or "I'd love that but I haven't got any space", then don't be surprised if this isn't opened up to you. Something like the Duke of Lancaster took me YEARS of blood sweat and tears and I need people I knew I could rely on to provide chunks of £400 up to £3000. Not all RAIDS will be of epic proportions like that and of course each RAID is evaluated on a variety of conditions.
Let's make this site epic. If you have recommendations let's hear about it. If you have ideas let's hear about it. Post your stories, your games, pictures - you name it. Let's see it!
This next RAID will be starting commencement in approximately 1 month. With a view to snag the games 4 weeks there after.
Please also note there are a potential other 2 RAID locations that will be released once this next one is completed.

One way you can find out is to go to the ATEI (or whatever it is now) and ask the stall holders. I got talking to one guy selling coin mechs, turns out he was a technician for Sega back in the day and had a loft rammed full of PCBs. I didn't get them, I had his contact details and was going to pick them all up, but life got in the way...
I also found a huge lorry trailer up a tiny back road in Leicestershire, with drop down sides and a knackered old generator next to it. Poking out of the corner at the back, I saw about 6 square inches of the back of a fruit machine. I *ahem* gained access to the lorry and it was stacked full of vids, fruities and pins, it was an old fairground trailer. I sat on that find for about a year, then went back and all there was left was some crappy fruities and an old Phoenix, which I got the PCB out of. You snooze, you lose.
The biggest haul I got is when a local guy wanted to open an arcade, so he acquired all the machines, had them all in his house and garage and then his wife got offered a job in Devon that she couldn't refuse. So, he advertised it in the local rag and I got the lot for 400 quid.

It's fantastic that after all these years there are still finds like this happening, and that people are willing to 'share the wealth', can't wait to see what comes out of this one, the fact there is an arkanoid would imply that the mid-80's games might feature more heavily than with the other raid on the boat...
