Starting in August 2026, we’ll begin moving eligible sellers from the Global Shipping Programme to eBay International Shipping (eIS) as part of a phased rollout through to December 2026. Once your account has moved, all eligible listings will automatically be included in eIS. We’ll let you know once your account has been enrolled. Please note that the Global Shipping Programme will no longer be available after migration.
Okay, what does this mean in practice?

Not much different to the Global Shipping Program, you post the buyer’s item to a distribution warehouse in the UK and they ship it internationally and do the Customs paperwork (which is all done electronically now anyway). It looks like the shipping fee the buyer pays might be cheaper with this new eBay International Shipping.

Hopefully they will extend it to US sellers so we can get arcade stuff shipped directly from the US to the UK. This used to be the case with the Global Shipping Program, but they stopped shipping to the UK (I believe after we left the EU) so we currently have to use forwarding shippers instead as a work-around.

On the face of it no difference to the Global Shipping Programme. You still just ship to the UK hub and then at that point you have done your duty and the sale is complete. Any issues after that point are between ebay and the buyer. Seller is protected from any returns/refunds.
Apparently will be slightly cheaper for the seller. More countries included
