without being hit, you turn into some type of flaming phoenix???

That's the puppy ! I remember there was a superb conversion on the PC
Engine that I would play ALL the time. PC Engine had the best
conversion of R-Type ever too !

Can anyone help with the name of a game:
It was a simple (old) car driving game with a bird's eye view, there was
a jump button which would make the car jump over obstacles (I think) as
the car went up in the air it would get bigger and bigger as it moved
towards the camera, then shrink back down as it fell back towards the
ground.

I am trying to come up with a not too taxing game that my 3yr old son
can play on my jamma cab - any ideas welcome.

Definitely Burnin' Rubber/Car Action/Bump 'n Jump. All the same game, used
to be one in my local newsagents wasted quite a few of my ten pees in it's
time. Basically a poor mans spy hunter.

Burnin' Rubber / Bump N Jump etc - yeah that was it, however I see from
KLOV that this was not a JAMMA game so no good for my cab as I have no
time to be wiring adaptors right now.
Anyone else have small kids (3ish) that have a favourite game (that they
can actually play to a reasonable level) which is also JAMMA ?

Don't know about 3, but my kids (6 and 4) think that Gauntlet is the
best think since sliced bread, like they'd know what that was all
about,,,
