I used Rockwool External Wall DD Slab insulation which has been specifically developed for use within external wall insulation systems. Nothing wrong with it for this purpose, it came recommended for its insulating properties by experienced builders. It’s been in place for years no problems.

Breakers are rated for inrush current by type, because of the transformers in the cabs you will get a big inrush, compared to the running current.

You probably have type B breakers in residential, type C or D are usually in commercial.

Type B can take 3 - 5 times rated current on a specified time base, so if you have a 32A breaker feeding a ring main you can have quite a spike before they trip. If you consider you house it is not that normal to have transformers, or lots of fluorescent lighting, hence type B are normal. As we are filling them up with cabs which have transformers for example I suspect there would be a number of cabs that you could initially turn on before you start getting trips.

You may also find nuisance trips on start up especially on RCD / RCBO breakers as you are looking across the L & N to ensure an equal balance.

This is all the theoretical of course (we have often had issues in our projects we installed in the past with inrush due to motors and transformers and having to get extended time base trip breakers)

If you split it to a few cabs per switch or SMART plug I don't think you will ever have an issue.

I know want to see what sort of current my cabs pull on start up
