I saw Holley's silly head in there somewhere!

Can't wait to see the new place, now!

Not long to go....

Looks like it's going to be the largest and best 'stocked' arcade I've ever been to outside of Japan.

Truely epic.

That was great! The presenter nearly lost it when he came in and could barely hold his train of thought

When is Arcade club becoming a franchise and opening up a subsidiary down south?Nes4life2015-10-27 08:14:08

...Indeed...we do need a 'down South' version, even if much smaller.
Sadly the cost of real-estate is not proportional to the northern part of the UK, which really sucks. :-(

This is being loosely discussed, however a long way off for the time being.

It could only happen down here if tied in to something else (like a Barcade). Sadly the space needed for 100+ cabs is prohibitively expensive in the south unless it's in the middle of nowhere (which breaks it cos people can't get there cos the roads are so packed all the time). The only business with high enough margins to run a classic arcade on the side would likely be illegal!

Tis a shame though, and I hope I'm totally wrong!

If there are any Southern collectors serious about clubbing together then PM me. I am trying to organize something, but as others have said the prices of property down South makes it expensive.

As for the vid, nice! Really want to see the new place though so I expect lots of videos on Sat as I can't make it (working :( )

anyone thinking of replicating arcade club down south would be daft not to consult andy to see what works and what doesn't. is there somewhere in the spreadsheets where the numbers do add up for the higher costs of rent down here? is it a matter of having a higher entrance fee and fewer machines (= smaller venue)? how does arcade club keep track of which games get played the most and which ones don't? how much does it matter to have playstation4s and xbones in as well etc? this kind of information would be invaluable.

Quite a nice balanced report. I don't think that kind of thing would get on inside out in my area (unless the 4 quaters made it?).

I like it more than the coverage given on collectaholics although both were good.
