Fantastic raid, and great write-up. It's heart-warming to learn that places like that still exist!

As for the undesirability of Goiliaths...

I can see where you're coming from with that. Who wouldn't rather have a line up of classic cabs with unique artwork? However, the market speaks for itself.

Whereas the supply of good quality Goliaths has dropped to almost zero over the past ten years (maybe something to do with that pesky but wonderful Arcade Club?), you never usually have to wait more than a month or two to see a top quality Centipede or Tron or Universal Cosmic Alien etc. pop up.

Unmolested Goliaths really are r@Rez. But that could also be because of their versatility. Perhaps their natural MAME-ability makes em keepers, while all but the most special of dedicateds are potential 'swapper-outer-ers'!?

One of the more interesting things was the Scramble marquee on a Defender background that was up on the wall. You can see it in this pic:

Anyone seen anything like this before?

Nice write up, lots to look at and more 'oldies' than i was expecting

I can only imagine the amount of negotiation and organisation this would take.

My back was aching just looking at the pictures of the HGV's being loaded, great effort

Were all the bezels and spare marquees saved? It would be good to see some more pics of those if they were.

Whoever ended up with the Electrocoin Cosmic Wars, if you took it as part of a job lot and want to sell it then let me know as I may be interested.

I had a bunch of the dedicated cabs, at least 2 or 3 of them will be for sale here, but I haven't seen them yet so it will be a few months I expect before they appear.

Just remember with raid cabs like this there's Buying them > Loading them > Delivery to UK > Unloading > Storage > Martin Collects > Storage > Delivery to me on the final cost.

I paid a little over the odds for them, plus 2 lots of moving. I've seen 1 photo of each from a distance, have no idea what if anything is inside, they almost certainly won't work....

So form that orderly queue to buy them gents

Great write-up and find! I hope no one did their back in!

Seeing the Stun Runners brings back memories of my local computer game shop which always had a decent array of machines available to play, as they had an enormous location in Kingston town centre near the market.

Yep and in terms of stuff for sale, I suspect most get involved with a raid because they actually want at least one of the cabs on offer.

Awesome story! The only thing I don't like about it is that I wasn't a part of it lol.
I see a cheeky Electrocoin Salamander cab there, awesome!

Looking forward to checking out the TX-1 in the future.

That would be me - and yes I took it to fill a slot but didn't really want it so happy to sell it on to you at cost if you want.
