Problem Konami GTI Club - Original PCB Gameboard - Who Can Repair?

Hi Guys

I have an original Konami GTI Club (twin) that has a number of failing PCBs / Gameboards.

Can anyone point me in the direction of someone that can repair these boards?

I did reach out to Phil at Arcade Relics but he is not taking on any work at present.

Any input greatly appreciated.

it looks like the usual konami problem - mask-roms dropping faster than ukraine!

Hiya - Thanks for the reply.
I am in Wiltshire in the UK. I can drive them somewhere or pack & send them wherever is needed of course.
I have a few like this ....

Might you have a solution ?

make a list of the failed chips on the test screen and post them here.
it may just be a matter of sending you some new eproms to plug in.

Good Morning.
I went into the attic and dug out all of the failing & faulty boards last night.
I actually have 5 in various states of 'non-working':
- A couple get all the way to the end of the self test, albeit with 'bad' IC's
- A couple seem to only get half way through the self test, then they reset and start again
- And one simply gives a blank screen

I will grab some pics and post here as requested (it might be in day or so as I have to go abroad for work Thus/Fri)

This does mean that I might be able use some boards as donor boards?
Do we know what chip/IC/RAM each of the self test items refer to in the self test - is there a list somewhere?

the codes in selftest refer to locations on the board that should be marked.
hopefully all socketed roms.
so yes, maybe you can get a set working by mixing roms from different boards.

Ahh .. let me get our the magnifying glass and see if I can see things like 30A or 11M on the board......

One point though ... Looking at the what is checked in the self test, there are around 60 IC's etc...
Looking at the quantity of the socketed roms... i don't think there are anywhere near 60 .. there are 11 on the top board and a further 6 or so on the bottom.

Lets see what i can see tonight when i get home from work....

it's a grid usually, so numbers across the top and letters down the side - if you know what i mean.
so that helps find stuff

just a thought,
run the test several times and see if the errors stay the same.
incase the psu is on it's way out

Good Thinking - I have replaced the awful original PSU units with a new PSU and the voltages are spot on.... it has run OK for a good couple of years with these in too.

So I don't think that's the issue
