I'm just catching up on this thread now having been offline for much of the weekend.
It seems a very disappointing outcome given there was a genuine chance of saving some dedicated cabs in very reasonable condition from falling into non-collector's hands.
So, there has certainly been a lack of honesty from the get-go on this one.
I was there from the outset quite clearly to save the Outrun Deluxe cab.
I was happy to help out wherever I could to get all the rest of the cabs out of the location and to whoever wanted them, so long as they were saved, and to help shipping them back to the UK where appropriate.
If anyone else thinks otherwise of me, then you are more than welcome to say it to my face.
The community is quite small. We all watch
what is sold on etc.. and the truth will always come out in the end.
To put the record straight on this, I've tried to help. It very much appears I have come away with nothing but wasted time.

It's such a shame you can't mention a raid, and people wish you well. The mistake was mentioning it at all. Always keep quiet until, you have exchanged money, and the cabs are in your possession. There are people on here, who would trample over a new born baby, If it meant making some cash.

I just simply didn't have the people necessary to move stuff, it proved too much of a headache, and so I offered it up here to a few people, willing to help whatever way I could. That should have been easy too!
Next time its a solo job all the way. And there most certainly are a few more big ones coming down, (next is appx 100 cabinets) so some people shot themselves in the foot going forward. And that's the last instance of mentioning something before I take it, for damn sure. And for anyone starting to sniff around the location of the last place, don't bother, its nowhere remotely close or related. Or better yet, do...and waste your time.
So if anything, this little raid has been excellent practice for the big stuff. Thankful for little things!

that trying to save a few cabs ends up in a fight over money and arguing again (no intention of taking sides or joining in the fight )
I thought that the whole point in being a member of a collectors community was to save the cabs to enjoy and share with future generations ?
Unfortunatly there are a large amount of people out now just to make as much money as they can breaking working cabs for parts or
Undercutting people on cheap cabs to flip
And there is nothing stopping these idiots joining any public forum not just the vac
The sharks get found out pretty quickly and dissapear
But please dont lose faith in the vac
I have met some really nice people on here that i would now class as frends
