Had a mini raid of my own today, managed to pick up a time crisis 2 and a hotd upright. Also got a few random marques and a pcb (unkown what it is yet).

Also managed to get a box of virtuality nos spares that I need to sift through.

Will post a few pics this evening.

So a few pictures of the location, excuse the quality it was almost pitch black in some bits so was having to use a torch/flash.

As I arrived dig my way few a stack of slot machines and then started to see a few interesting shapes in the darkness.

The HOTD had a complete board set and screen and the cab was in decent shape, no guns and of course completely untested. AM going to have this cab as I love the game and it was a cheap enough to take a punt on.

Next a time crisis 2 and a Hook pinball,

The time crisis is complete minus both board sets, the price is rock bottom and I have always planned to get one so am tempted to get it, how difficult is it to locate a pair of working boardsets? The gun boards power etc were all there just the main PCB cages are gone.

Digging a bit deeper turned up a GTI club deluxe that sadly is a rear projection model :(, it looked complete enough but rear projections are such a pain.

Next was a very buried pod race deluxe, I am really tempted by this but again rear projection :(

There is a also a ridge racer deluxe in there but I didn't get a decent picture of it. Next I started digging around in the piles of spares. Now sadly this was almost all slot machine spares but I did manage to find a few bits including one box intriginly marked as "VR Spares"

A couple of Marques including some older racing ones and the top flash from the lost world.

Finally dug up this Taito board, googling the PCB numbers it looks to be a chase HQ, sadly I can't test it as it's not Jamma.

Will grab some pictures of the Virtuality bits shortly, they could be really useful if someone is trying to restore one.

Did you get the hook Pinball?

I have spare plastics for one of those if your needing any.
If you haven’t picked up the gti club I wouldn’t bother, rear projection screen will be no good and pcb most likley faulty and hard to find a worker.

So here are the VR parts, I like that it's still all in the
original box from CyberMind, I opened one graphics card to confirm they
are all completely NOS none of this has ever been opened since it was
shipped.

Looks like some interesting stuff, those VR bits I'm sure will be very useful to someone!

The pcb is S.C.I. I think.

I wouldn't turn down cabs because the are rear projection if you've got the space - chassis can be fixed if they are broken, and it's also fairly easy to fit a LCD in there if you want to. Some guys run them as the main cab hooked up to a TV on the wall. Bit of a space saver.

Alpha1 wants a Ridge Racer DLX I think - you might want to give him a shout!

I go meadow lane quite often working

There is a guy on here Simon I think his name that has some VR stuff, he will probably be interested in those parts as he has complete machines and amazingly he lives in Leicester too

I wouldn't be put off with the Rear Projection Games either, you can always save space and get some Plasma/LCD Screens and fix on wall in front of the machines, was tempted to do that and keep the Rail Chase 2 I had. or you can put screens inside the box and remove the rear projection like Sega Rally 2 Deluxe often had

The reason I said leave rear projection games is for space reasons and no one repairs them so you will have to fit plasma or lcd.
If space isn’t a problem then go for it.

Cheers googling it you look to be correct on the PCB, will have a read up if there is any good way I can test it. He wanted alot for the ridge racer, anyidea what the going rate is, assume it's working.

Oooh, what happened to the Lost World? Been after one of those for ages!

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the pics

Several people seem interested in this, to answer questions, it had no guns no screen and was in a sad state, I actually love the game as well and am seeing if I can store it. If not will let people know.

Have dropped Simon a PM.

Why is it they can't be fixed, are they not fundamtally tubes and chassis like a CRT? Or is it something to do with parts wearing out that can't be sourced?

Is there any decent way to hook up an LCD that scales the image etc correctly. I have seen a few LCD conversions in arcades before and they always look awfull?

Id be up for the hook pinball if no one else took it

Sadly he does not seem to want to sell it, I tried! It's in a sad state, I did find the back glass when rooting through his parts collection.

I have some spare HOTD guns if you need them.

That would be great, if you could let me know in PM what you are thinking.

Man the virtuality stuff gives me the horn

Haha I know, I opened the rest up and the NOS lcd screens and some of the custom boards are amazing. Almost tempted to frame some! Hopefully they will be useful though.
