Ah my first cab purchased
from Richy13 (Arcade Otaku) back in 2010. I didn’t do much to the cab other than
cleaning and fitting a new speaker. I
loved the LED marquee display and the speakers mounted at the side of the
monitor. The control panel is slightly
higher than the Astro / Naomi / Egret II CP and I found it very comfortable to
play on. The cab also features the odd
combination of JVS wiring and a 15 / 24KHz monitor. Quite an interesting cab and in my opinion
damn sexy! I sold it to a member of
Jamma+ mainly due to space issues and the fact that the monitor can’t be tated. I was sad to see it go and I do miss it.

SNK Neo SC-19 4 Slot

Bought from tart31
(AO), this is my dedicated MVS cab. I
gave it a strip down and clean, replaced the monitor bezel, worn buttons, broken
coin mech and scratched plastic monitor cover with a FrancoB repro, and
re-sprayed the internal support bars / brackets and coin box as they were
pretty rusty.

Sega New Astro
City

Bought from the
Mayor of Aero City himself, I gave the cab a full strip down and clean and
replaced monitor with a nice burn free MS9.
I also fitted a new 1L6B panel and had the yellowed speaker panel
re-sprayed. This is my vertical shooter
cab. I currently have DoDonPachi Dai-Fukkatsu Ver.
1.5 and Muchi Muchi Pork! installed, but will be putting Cyvern in there soon.

Before

After

Sega Naomi Sit-Down – New Net City
Art

I
bought this cab from Red5 / Daz (AO), and it was Tetsujin’s before that. I spent quite a lot of time and money on this,
fitting NOS plastics and Sega Japan
official Naomi SD cabinet legs. This is
my 31KHz cab. Initially I used it to
play Naomi carts (mostly Zero Gunner 2), but now it’s my dedicated Planet
Harriers cab.

Capcom STATUS 25

I
bought this from a member of AO, and they had it imported from Ronnie
(Rklok). I gave the cab a complete strip
down and clean. I love the design of
this cabinet – the angles, the speaker / marquee assembly, the hood, it’s
awesome. Appearance wise it has a lot in
common with the Jaleco Pony Mark III 25.
This is my dedicated horizontal cab.
I’ve had Alien vs Predator installed since I’ve owned it.

Capcom Mini Cute – Pink
Edition

Another
cab from tart31, the cab is perfect and I haven’t done anything to it, other
than putting it in my games room. I have
the monitor tated for shooters.

Capcom Mini Cute – Yellow
Edition (Project)

I
wanted a second Cute and so imported this Project Cute from Ronnie. The cabinet needs a lot of work, including
new monitor, new CP and re-spray. However
with work, the wife and baby daughter I haven’t made any progress in the two
years I’ve had it, it’s been hidden away behind the TV in the lounge! However I have been gathering parts I need
for the project and I’m looking forward to restoring it to its former glory
soon!

Capcom Mini Cute – Yellow
Edition

After
purchasing the Project Cute, this one came up for sale shortly after. This Cute was in very nice condition and I
bought it from Slugflyer (AO) with the intention of selling the Project Cute. However I ended up keeping the project and
the wife has commented on how I ended up ‘sneeking another cab in there’. It currently has Street Fighter III 2nd Impact: Giant Attack installed.

Sega Aero Table

This is my grail
cab. I had lusted after one of these for
a long time and when one finally came up for sale I couldn’t resist, despite
space issues! This is another cab
purchase from The Mayor of Aero City and I went on an epic nine hour round trip
to collect it. I believe Thomj (AO)
imported this cab from Germany
and restored it, then sold it to Cools, who then sold it to The Mayor. I currently have PVG Tech / Hanaho Taito
Gameroom Classics multi-game PCB installed in the cab. I’m still on the lookout for the elusive
speaker pod and marquee holder. For some
reason quite a few of these cabinets are missing them.

I’ve posted more
cab info and pics on my blog:

I really like the Status, not seen that before - it's a really nice design.

Fantastic collection of cabs there, those Cutes are great little things, no wonder they command such a high price!

Cyberleads don't seem to get much love but i think the colour scheme is very nice on them, and as you say, the slightly higher cp makes it easier to play.
