I think SNK already based Andy Bogard on me actually.

Started playing this yesterday, but not really feeling it, the story mode is kinda nice with some throwbacks to previous Fatal Fury stages.

May need more time to get into it.

I'm so far behind, I'm only just getting into Street Fighter 5 (I'll buy 6 and maybe some other games like this Fatal Fury once I've given 5 a fair run).

Can't say I've found the FX offputting in SF5, although the graphics are quite ugly in places (it is a decade old and showing it). Online ranking of 300,000 and ultra-silver, so I guess I'm probably not that good, but I do now need a daily fix of online fighting :D. I rather like the game anyway .
One downside is I now find CPS1 SF2 offputtingly clunky compared to the sequels.

Same here, I was really into SF4 but they binned off Abel in 5 so I skipped it pretty much.

I've just started on SF6 actually, picked up Cammy and i'm getting absolutely killed online lol.

I honestly cannot get with most modern fighting games as the sprites are just too big, and mods around zooming out that view distance / FOV are few and far between.

If I'm gonna be honest I wish 'City Of Wolves' visuals would have been King of fighters XIII's high definition spirites but taken to the next level in 4k detail. However, I understand why they went for this particular visual style, specifically after the success of Street Fighter 4.

It's just a shame of what could have been

Yeah, I cannot get on with the modern online gameplay, either ... at least in KOF XV ... basically, every SINGLE player is some kind of combo beast ... it seems like literally no-one plays fighting games for funsies (and not to eventually 'git gud' ...) ... because I know that for sure when I was young that tons of us loved a load of these games ... and all we knew was a couple of easy things (like the OG jumping hard kick into sweep in SF2) and could do our quarter-circle plus button bullshit.
We were just there to play the lovely games, and jump around a bunch and throw fireballs.
😩 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, nicely put. Would there be much of a crossover between Ronaldo fans and a 26 year old fighting game?

Doesn't track that it would drive people to buy MOTW2, so it seems SNK were paid to include him.. it's beyond stupid really.
I just realised that putting Ronaldo in City Of Wolves isn't really new at all, as Rival Schools: United By Fate (1997) by Capcom has a football player using a football was a weapon.

True but that was an original character, who fit in to the theme of Rival Schools.

I don't have a problem with sports themed characters :) But when the primary reason for someone being in the game is financial - it sucks.

Oh yeah good point and all they had to do was have the football player and remove Ronaldo's name and likeness and it could have worked, an yes you are right 'just for financial reasons it does suck' completely.:(
