Hi. New member. After a cocktail table to remember my youth. Have not got a clue what to pay. Some on ebay for 500 pounds is this the price I need to pay. Also would like to convert to a board with more games and keep the board for investment if I ever sell. How much does it cost to a 60 in one board.thanks

Hi welcome to ukvac! I would say £500 i the upper end of the price scale for a nice working cocktail. Paid £80 and £130 for both of my none runners and made one working cab out of them. They do come up eventually. Depends on what work you want to put in too.JonTron2017-08-31 12:55:36

Yeah, welcome to the forum. There's loads of cr@p on eBay so if you see something you like the look of it'd be worth canvassing for opinions on here if you're not sure. Or, you could put a wanted ad up on here.
Just so you know it might not just be a case of taking out an old game and putting a 60-in-1 in as the cab would need to be JAMMA which some of the older ones aren't. In which case you'd need an adapter. Also, it's unlikely the game you take out of the cab could be stored and become massively valuable - what's more likely to happen is you'll put it away for a couple of years and then find out that it's dead as a doornail when you come to sell. One of the perks of the hobby.

The Phoenix cocktail you linked to is overpriced. If you're looking at something to enable you to play other games (you mentioned the 60-in-1) - you'll need an 8-way joystick (Phoenix is 2-way) and a JAMMA harness (wiring). The monitor image on this cab looks suspect, as well - could need a simple adjustment or could need a repair, potentially adding another £50-£100 to the price. It's not in particularly good shape for the money, either.
I'd post a 'wanted' ad on here and see what comes up.
If you can afford it, I'd recommend the ArcadeSD board instead of the 60-1. Many more games, better emulation and sound and lovely flashy menus.
It's quite a steep learning curve. My best advice would be to take your time making your first purchase.
Hang around the forums for a while, look at old 'for sale threads', etc. - this will give you a good idea of what sort of things come up for sale, and how much you can expect to pay.
The Zaccaria cocktail looks nice, but again, it's quite expensive for what it is. Note that is had an LCD monitor in it, not a CRT - the games will not look as good as you remember on an LCD monitor.
