We also had the horrible task of 'testing' Battlezone, Robotron, Galaxian, 1942, Phoenix, Out Run (huge gorgeous edition), Berzerk, Crystal Castles and others.
Aww I wanna see pics and vids and cabs and arcade yummy scrummyness!
For those of us lucky to have taken part, a great time was had at the weekend.
It was really nice to meet up with fellow collectors including some great guys I've not met (or met properly) before!
It took a while to figure out exactly what was going where (despite James and Andy's huge layout plan), but once we all got organised I think we worked really well together and things got moving quickly.
I was there for around 6 hours and the time really flew by. Managed a cheeky game or two of Robotron before I had to leave.
There's no doubt at all that RGP and u72 are going to make a success of this - they've put an incredible amount of time, effort and money into this and they deserve all the support they can get from the community.
You are NOT going to be disappointed!
And James, if you're reading this... 1.74 metres!

ps...does it still have those horrible microswitch jobbies on it ?

Nope, not worthy lol. My high score is only around 140K and Fuzzy got 220K on his first go! I like those twin-stick shooters though. I played Black Widow for the first time ever on Saturday and that seems a really good game. And Smash TV is there; a favourite of mine on the SNES but I never played it in the arcade.

You'd thrash Black Widow mate. It seems easier than Robotron.
