Pretty much as I expected.
A mix of 1ups and real cabs.
Got a nice sega rally twin cab setup, donkey Kong jnr,dig dug and a few other origonal cabs but it's a small place so only spend about 45 mins there. Good for younguns but for those like us not a lot of interest.
It's only £7.50 entry though and it still has a good arcade atmosphere but I've been spoiled by the arcade clubs in bury and Blackpool.

They have 1ups there now?

I think the 1ups are just to fill the space since it looks like they don't have enough real cabs to fill the space.
I presume it's owned by a collector like us who decided to use the space to let the public play the games instead of just storing them.
Maybe if it's successful enough it may expand with more real games.

Just edited the title of this thread to avoid confusion.

Hi. Yes this is my Arcade, Pixel Busters, in Stoke-on-Trent. I opened it with my Wife 3 years ago. I've been a collector for about 10 years but I've been away from ukVac for the past 5 years.
We opened it exactly as you said. As a place where I could have my collection, let the local community play the games and re-invest the profit back to buy more machines.
We started off with around 30 machines where about 10 of these were Arcade1Ups. This was mainly to fill the space we had until we could get them replaced with more machines. We did not expect them to last as long as they have. They have withstood 3 years of public play and are very popular with our core customers, kids.
Since we opened we have added around 20 cabinets including Ice Cold Beer, TMHT, Terminator 2, Asteroids and Time Crisis 3.
We have no team or finance behind us. Everything we have done has been done by me and my wife off our own backs. We both work full time jobs and open the arcade at the weekends. I also have a storage workshop full of projects that will eventually go into a larger unit that we will hopefully get to one day.
