Now I'm not sure if this is the game board or the monitor but after a while the vsync just gives up, mostly on darker screens which is what leads me to suspect the monitor. It's a polo 2 manual sync. I thought it'd be a simple case of adjusting the vhold but vsync just isn't there. Fine for the first 10 minutes or so though.

Just wondered if anyone could shed some light on a known issue with these before I dive into it and potentially waste a lot of time.

Hi Joel,

Have you scoped the outputted sync signal to ensure there's no failing (thermal?) stage on the source? Might be useful to check that the output levels aren't merging with the black level given what you mention about darker screens.

cheers

Hey Joel, hope it's not the Monitor I sold you? If so, was working fine with my NeoGeo 161 in 1
