I've been to lots of auctions in the States... They were great 10 years ago, but they are dying on their feet now. Don't get your hopes up, there is always bargains to be had, but the number of games is way down on what it used to be, and the quality is likewise very much down... I have been to two this year, and i think next year might see the last of the auctions on the east coast at least, one auction company has already gone belly-up and prices are so low (and so therefore is the commission made), i'm not sure how much longer they'll be going.
So many multigames have been sold, and so many homeowners now attend the auctions, they're not really the hidden gems they used to be. You have to wait around to the end of the auction and get stuff in the dead rows to get the proper bargains, but its actually hard work!
